who, what and where

I am an emerging Scottish artist, based in south east London at Bainbridge Studios. I studied textiles and surface design at Grays School of Art, RGU and then went on to complete an MA in Constructed Textiles, specialising in mixed media at The Royal College of Art. During my earlier studies I had a period of living in Finland which transformed my ethos as a artist. I drew endless inspiration from the abundant nature, the simple approaches to life, the values, the light and architecture. I continue to reflect and research on these values and utilise them in the work I produce today.

I have just completed a Creative Partnership project at the Beaconsfield School, Buckinghamshire. Working alongside some of the construction students we regenerated the School Garden. We created new furniture and contemporary features from recycled and sustainable materials. The vision was to create a modern, industrial inspired garden space for all to use. The garden will also house a large vegetable plot that will be maintained by students for the benefits of the food technology department.
